nub question about graphics cards

I have BFG Nvidia GeForce® 9600 GT OC 512MB DDR3 and if i was to get a second card the same what or would i see much of a boost?

evga 750i sli from OC thank's not overclocked as i have no idea how
bfg 9600gt
650wat psu
4gig ocz 1066ddr 2 what i am still waiting on from OC

so any advice at all would be great

I think the 4870 is faster overall but there are games where the 9600GT SLI setup would lead. The single 4870 is slightly better overall though. Personally I'd sell the 9600GT and buy a 1gb 4870. Whatever is easier or cheaper boils down to you .

having two cards is more of a brag factor

Dump the 9600gt and get a better single card. You will see more consistent results overall compared to 2 cards (IMO)
