But now would not have a clow what best and good money i am looking at something that will be quick and will be abule to play all the newest games tryed playing GTA 5 on my pc and its very Glitchy so i put that down to the processor or graphics card may be ? What would it set me back to build a new top spec for reasonable money.

Thanks guys

£500 and as much as a gaming pc as it will be for that thanks

Motherboard
Graphics card
Ram
Power pack
Processor

Already have a 1TB hard drive

I do know what is the best i can go for for the money i want to spend.

Thank you

Well case i can buy to suit but just looking for all the good gear for a ok game pc and what parts fit up to motherboard dont want to buy a board and then get wrong graphics card lol

All the gear no idea lol

You're not going to get top spec for £500 if you're buying everything. What exactly do you have right now?

GTA 5 favours Intel processors and Nvidia graphics quite heavily. Despite being old socket and DDR3, this system would give you immediate better performance than Ryzen or Coffee Lake, due to that favouring, and also prices, particularly DDR4 prices.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £416.07
(includes shipping: £11.10)

I've heard (don't know if it's true) that OcUK can sometimes offer you free shipping if you phone up and ask them. That'd give you £95-ish to find a used i5-4670K or i5-4690K, or even better an i7-4770K or i7-4790K. I've seen some that have gone for around that money now and then. Your best bet is a 4790K because that motherboard isn't going to OC well, if much at all, and the 4790K has a high turbo out of the box so no need. Z97 board will allow running DDR3 faster than 1600 (2133MHz as in this spec, for example).

Good bulk of the money going towards the video card, which can be transferred into a newer platform when/if you upgrade. PSU can be transferred too.

I'd prefer to spec you a newer platform but with this budget a newer processor will either perform slightly worse, or a video card as good as a GTX 1060 6GB for GTA V won't fit the budget. It's a demanding game, even at 1080p resolution, if you want it looking good and decent fps. Played it a lot over last couple years with i7-4770K and GTX 970.
