As title.
I was looking at maybe an nuc n3050 based system with 8gb ram and 480gb ssd for purely video streaming and maybe some browsing.
Would the CPU/system be up to the task ?

I would say as long as it can use hardware decoding for whatever it is you're watching then it'll be more than adequate. I believe the N3050 is comparable to the baytrail N2830 you find in these modern cheap laptops (in terms of CPU performance). GPU performance is surprisingly good.

I have exactly that and use it as a media player and desktop pc with 8Gb and a 240Gb SSD. Works perfectly when you eventually can get windows on it and Kodi seems to run flawlessly. I have also tried Netflix and that seems to work perfectly as well. I have streamed uncompressed 1080p rip by the network with not a single stutter. I have the NUC5CPYH. It was about £108 Delivered.
