Has anyone done this before (It used to be called Nuffield STEM or science bursaries)

I'm going to apply to it for Electrical / Electronic engineering but apparently its very selective to get into, so I was wondering if anyone had any advice (I haven't sent the form back yet.) on what I should focus on in the application form?

Thanks

Yes I have, but it was around 12 years ago. I worked as a Research Chemist as the University of Surrey over summer and produced a paper at the end, which got me a Gold Crest Award. Funny thing is that I had no interest in Chemistry. Very worthwhile though.

I've had a look in my documents, but sadly cannot find any application details to help you out.

Thanks anyway, I'm just trying to fill out the application form which is proving difficult since I'm not exactly a narcissist and I'm not the eloquent writer (thats probably the wrong word lol).

Just giving this a wee bump before I hand my form in tommorrow to get it spellchecked and get the teachers form added to it and sent off.

I'm now wondering should I maybe split the section up about what I want to do to cover 2 fields, probably maths and EE, to spread my chances of getting a placement?

I think I mentioned my preference to be Maths or Physics related but I got offered something Chemistry related anyway. All depends on who the company sponsoring this year are.
