Number of radiators?

I currently have a triple 120 rad which is cooling my i7 3770k running at 4.4ghz and chipset. I was thinking of getting some blocks for my 2 1070's.
I have space to add a single 120 rad in my case and was hoping I could get away with just adding that or will it be new case time so I can add a twin 120?
Thanks in advance

Normal guidance is 120mm of radiator per component plus one extra 120mm so adding one more 120mm will be fine.

going witht he theory of "One 120 mm of rad space per device as minimum plus one extra" you would be at the cut off point.

It will work but my worry is you will stuffer elevated temps compared to 360 to one device as to 480 for three devices.
You will need higher RPM of fans to keep it cool to a degree you had before.

Its all a case of how important is silence to you?

I've run a system with a 4770K, 2 x GTX970s and chipset cooling with the built in block on a Maximus formula vi for the past 3 years or so using a 360 in the roof and a 240 on the bottom of a Phantom 820 and never had any problems. Even running the system flat out benchmarking doesn't get it that hot. I'm just replacing the 970s with 1080s so have decided to leave out the chipset cooling as its an Ali block and have nickel EK blocks for the 1080s. As to your question you should be fine with a 360 and 120, its just as the other guys said how fast you want your fans spinning. It's not like the days of the GTX480s throwing out mega amounts of heat any more with the more power frugal modern cards :D

Thanks, may as well give it a go and see how it turns out.
I won't mind if it's a little louder but swmbo will, as the PC is in the lounge.
