I need to get a number plate for my bike rack. I have never had to get a replacement before so not sure of the process. Can anyone recommend somewhere cheap? Will i need documentation to prove i own the car the plates are registered to?
Bought some recently off of ebay, yet to receive them (only ordered the other night) so I won't go recommending them yet, however they cost ~£14 for both plates. If you buy them as road legal show plates they will have all the relevant markings on to be legal for road use, but they won't require documentation to prove your ownership of the plates.
I got some from eBay a while back, no documents needed and turned up very quickly and seem to be good quality. Can't remember the seller, i just found one saying they were 100% legal with all the markings as you need the printers address on there somewhere. I have always got plates with GB on them as its one less thing to think about when going abroad.
hi,
I know you have know bought off ebay, but just thought I'd chip in to mention that I have previously used http://www.showplatesfactory.com/ who were very good. Got road legal plates for under £20 and didn't have to send off my V5.
Out of interest, who did you buy off of on ebay (a seller or shop)? I assume you didn't have to send off a V5?
