I'm trying to get a bit more clued up with servers and server OSs for work, so have obtained a Proliant ML330 G6. I'm trying to install the current version of Hyper-V server on it with an eye to then using that to install and configure various server OSs to learn.
But I'm stuck at the first hurdle. The server currently has the integrated SATA/SAS controller - I have a single drive installed. The installation shows the drive fine, lets me create a primary partition and format it. Then stubbornly refuses to use it. Any ideas?
Ultimately I want the Hyper-V to run off an SD card, and will have a P410 raid controller installed but waiting for that to arrive.
