Ok so I am thinking of getting to the real ring for a few laps, but would like to get as accustomed to the layout as possible. Are there any good games with realistic layout in terms of dips and stuff and the different road surfaces that are quite realistic.
Thinking of getting a G25 to go with it and get lots of practice in.

OK so how do I get this rfactor game, someone said I get the trial and then just get the nord. add on and I dont have to buy the game?

Also will this go well with the G25? It is on sale at the moment and think its a worthwhile investment.

Im a bit confused, sorry.

Thanks for any help :)

Cant help you with the G25 as I've never bothered with wheels for a computer. Find them a bit pointless tbh.

As for Rfactor then I think you could just download the trial then the track but if you're spending all that on a wheel , i'd find the extra £15 to just buy the game off ebay or something.

Is the trial limited by time? or just tracks/cars?

I am literally only going to be going around the ring for practice, so if I can not buy it, it would be nice, especially as I can't see any major retailer carrying it.

Having driven the real Nordschleife a number of times the main thing I would point out is that whilst most of the games get the layout mostly right, none of them convey just how steep some sections of the circuit are. They often also don't give you any idea of quite how much traffic there is on it.

You really have to watch your mirrors, but at the same time keeping an eye out for coaches, buses and any number of any other slower vehicles.

Have fun :)

Sorry to change the topic slightly, but is GTR evo better than GTR 2?

GTR Evo is easier to buy and seems to be the newer version, but I mainly see people mention GTR 2?

GTR Evo has the Nurburgring included in it from the box, but it's an expansion pack so you'll need the Race 07 game to install GTR Evo. Race 07, GTR Evo and GTR2 are all made by simbin games. The nurburgring in GTR Evo is the closest you will get to the realism of the ring IMO. I've been to the ring in real life and drove round it 20 times and GTR EVO has all the dips, jumps and dodgy cambers in the right places. It even has the blinding sun at Karussell.

The cheapest possible way is to buy a used copy of GTR2, then get the nordschleife mod from somewhere like racing sim cental or blackhole motor sports

The GTR-EVO "Ring" is the best one yet.

If you want the most accurate experience then buy the game and support an amazing bunch of devs.
