I feel that if the viper had been infront from the start it wouldn't have been a very intense battle at all, it would've been a lime green viper getting smaller and smaller in the distance.

That's what marks the difference between drivers though, the Porsche driver made sure he stayed in front right at the start of that video and then made better decisions passing backmarkers that helped him stay ahead.

Viper had the legs, but Porche much better in the corners.

Bet the Viper driver was cursing all those ****ty BMW's in his way
