Now I've had my card for about a week and it's been fine. Last night at a LAN I rebooted and for some reason the PC would lock, resume, lock, resume then lock and finally go to a BSOD. I rebooted and it was fine. Now today it's done the same just now, after being fine all day. I have rivatuner 2.0 on and vtune - which I have now uninstalled (both). I don't think the card was overclocked last night - but today it was at 600/930. I turned the clocks back as I uninstalled.

E6300@3ghz
4*512mb 6400
3hd
8800GTX
Enermax 850
Audigy 2
97.44

Now I have installed a new PSU today, which I doubt is the problem as it happened last night on my other (which it has worked fine on).

EDIT: It's just crashed again, in the same manner as before. I minimise 3dsmax and try to maximise it again and it locks.

yea ive seen that error when you go to far or not enough volts on the cpu overclock.

Well I've put my ram back to its stock speed of 400mhz. I'll see if that does anything. I'm now at 2.8ghz (400*7).

Well I left Orthos running whilst in the shower, it ran for 20 minutes before I stopped it. I had 3dsmax minimised - so I stopped Orthos and maximised 3dsmax...which resulted in a hard lock :/

I got that a while ago with an older NV card, I think it was because the CPU was overclocked too far and not 100% stable.

But I am not too sure, I use the 97.02 drivers on my 8800GTS and haven't had any problems so far with the card so maybe try those or any other drivers just to rule that out (if you haven't tried that already)

Well I purposely left 3ds max minimised and went for a drink, came back and voila it crashes on maximisation.

Well last night I just rebooted, on getting into windows I had:

Mouse lock
Mouse move
Mouse lock
Mouse move
BSOD moaning about NV4

Today I was using 3dsmax, minimised it and it seems not to like maximising again after being in the task bar for a few minutes.

uninstall all nVidia drivers, run Driver Cleaner (inc. cab cleaner), re-install nVidia drivers. :) And just double check the clock frequencies.

Apparently this issue is quite common with the 97.44 drivers, so I've reverted back to 97.02 drivers to see if it fixes my issue.
