hi, i'm currently looking at making myself a new pc for use with my nvidia 3d vision2.0 benq monitor, so im looking for an nvidia system instead of the current popular 7950 systems.

i don't really have a budget(dont tell my gf that) but i'm looking for something that will play all the latest games at the highest settings(in 3d) but i also play WoW and would like something powerful enough to record whilst i play so i can edit and post movies etc

my current i7 950(bloomfield) nvidia gtx 480 system has caused me nothing but problems. ive bought 2 similar systems over the last 2-3 years costing me over 2000£ only to encounter the same bug. essentially most games with CG movies crash the computer. games like batman/deus ex HR are a problem and i have to exit them during movie scenes and watch the scene on youtibe before loading the game up again. im also unable to play DOTA 2 at all due to it having some sort of movie playing in the menu background that causes a pc restart after 2-3 seconds....

anyways rather than link me a load of items(i can make a pc that way myself)i was wondering if anyone with experience of a top end nvidia playing games such as far cry3/borderlands 2/bf3/batman etc can recommend anything?

im very very wary of overclocks also, took me awhile but i found out bf3 kept crashing due to my factory overclocked gtx480 and had to underclock it to be able to play it reliably.

also is SLI safe/reliable or even needed to play the latest games?

also due to being burned these last few years i'd prefer an ocuk prebuilt system!

thx for any replies/advice

oh and would i need a windows 8 PC?

having bought a laptop for my gf at xmas, i've discovered how much i utterly hate win 8. would i miss out on anything by choosing a win 7 system?
