nvida gtx470 equivalent card

Hello all,

I've got a friend that wants to update his graphics card he's got the Gt430, but wants the equivalent card in the 5 series of the 470, I'm not sure but I think it's the 550.

Can anyone confirm??

A 560ti is fractionally faster than a 470, so I'd say that's the nearest.

Hmmm,

I'll try and get him to buy the 460, it's around his budget and only slight down on the 470,

Good choice, the GTX 460 is a great value card.

This is the one I would go for (low price, 3 year warranty, nice cooler). Obviously it's not as quick as the GTX 470 (here is how it compares) but it is much cheaper and still performs well.

This card is equal to a stock 470, b grade I know but maybe worth a punt.
