Hi i have been trying to download the latest drivers for gtx 1080 and keep getting fail at system check, it states these drivers are not compatible with this version of windows. I am using win 10 64 bit. I have just added the gtx 1080 and the predator 43" widescreen monitor and cant get the drivers down so i can change resolution i am stuck at 1024x768 which is a very small screen on a very big monitor. Any help appreciated....
 
Win 10 pro has always been set to auto update it was checked at 9am this morning and found up to date. I have tried the next 5 drivers down the line and they all fail with the same statement..
 
Disable your anti virus and try the install/s again, go with the latest and work backwards.
 
Also i did try downloading the earlier drivers 5 of them all with the same fail. thanks for your help
 
Damn I'm out of ideas then, hopefully you get it fixed soon.

Enjoy the screen/gpu combo when you get it sorted - it's a cracking setup.
 
Make sure your downloading the correct Windows 10 driver as they offer ones before and after the anniversary update now.
 
Use DDU to get rid of anything Nvidia on your sytem.

Make sure W10 updates are current and click to refresh to make sure.

Download Geforce Ex if you dont have it and let it search and install drivers.

I had the same problem when I bought my 1080 and that fixed it for me. Hope it works for you as well mate

I had same issue, you will have to install the latest version of windows 10.

My update didn't go well and I needed to reinstall windows to fix it.
 
At this point i have put my gtx 670 card back in and this proves the monitor is fine in fact damn fine too. I am wondering about the age of my motherboard due to not being able to get bios updates for it, it is a Asus ROG Rampage IV formula. Oh and i used DDU for the gtx 670 and drivers came down no issue, so my thoughts are could the motherboard just not support the gtx 1080.. Thanks guys for your help..

Well there'as your problem, should say Version 1607 Build 14393.82

Your Windows 10 is not up to date.

Can you do screen shot of the system info. Press the start button go to settings then system and select about - what does it show?
