NVIDIA 260.63 Beta Driver Performance Review

Unfortunately I experienced problems once i restarted, the Log in screen on windows did some kind of artifacting, followed by a bsod. I'm going to wait till these drivers finish the beta :P

^^ Same case as me, you should consider cutting a hole out on the mobo tray so you can root the CPU power cable around the back of the mobo, looks a lot neater.

Lol, i know, i've been meaning to do it for ages... I actually have one of those NZXT Braided extensions but keep forgetting to do it... :o

What volts did you use to get your 480 @850 Raven? MSI AB keeps resetting if i try to up it a little, mine dont like it over 830... :(

Also loving the work with the fan blowing up to the 480. :D

@ V_R

Yeah I keep the side panel on so I need some extra internal cooling to keep the 480 at 80C with a custom fan profile. The card is an EVGA SC and comes with higher stock volts than standard 480's, in this case 1.75v, I don't need to change this for 850 on the core. I can't see why you can't max the volts out in AB, use the latest version if not already.

You're interpreting the volt numbers wrong, in afterburner mine reads 1075v.

Sorry in my previous post I meant to say 1.075 (not 1.175), because I thought 1.075 was the stock voltage for all GTX480's but you seemed to suggest yours was higher than normal.

It's measured in mV in AfterBurner, 1075mV/1.075V is the same thing just different way of saying it. :p

Asus and MSI may set higher stock volts than other AIB's as they promote overclocking with their cards big time, the rest are in the range I stated unless they they are manufacturer overclocked models.

1.075 is the current highest "VID" nVidia will use for cores - don't think thats an extra AIB limit.

I imagine it's the limit due to the amount of heat generated rather than being a hard limit, these cards are really amazing when water cooled.

I don't notice any real difference in heat going from 0.975->1.087, fan maybe 2% faster to keep the same temps. That said mine seems to be a good low leakage core so not the best indicator.
