Nvidia 275 or Wait

I was wondering do i go and buy a 275 or do i watch for the new range of cards to come down.

My 8800GTS is starting to have issues with my large monitor running in hires.

aww i guess i will have to wait for this xmas period to pass so i can bring one back from asia for cheaper. Either that or second hand

im waiting to February ( my birthday ) to choose what permanent graphics card i want. Hopefully new nvidias will be out then. atm im looking for a cheap upgrade from a 9800GT but that wont be permanent

I was thinking of getting a 260 to tie me over until the new range of cards mature and become more affordable, this is going to screw up my budgeting!!!

Buy the 275 (or even a much cheaper GTX260-216 as its very close to a 275) now & apart from Crysis nothing else will give you problems at high res for a long time to come. DX11 games will take 2-3 years before they are commonplace.

I bought one last week from ocuk for my new system, should do it for a year or so. By that time the new nvidia card will be out and the 5870s wont be OOS

VAt at 15% is expire by end of 2009 and then 1st Jan it will go back to 17.5% so if you want to buy at cheap or wait for new GF300xxx that due by this month or next month -- 275 seem quite nice to grab it.. no need to spend too much but still up to you if you want to get 275 or wait.. Im still keep my 2 of GF9600GT XXX cos it nice running and no plan to upgrade until 2011 or 2012.

I recently upgraded from a 8800GTS 320 to a GTX 275 and couldn't be happier. I can now max out everything I play at 1680x1050

The only problem I had was finding a 275 at a decent price. Managed to snag one for £155 with a copy of Batman, but was looking for quite a few weeks before that deal came up.
