Here's a quick comparison shot I made:

The most noticeable difference is the darkening of the shadows on the edges of the buildings.

It might just be my system but I'm noticing a drop in fps with ambient occlusion enabled. Need to do more testing.

Another comparison shot below. Looks really nice in-game but at the cost of performance. I've got ambient occlusion set to "Quality" in the NVidia CP which probably accounts for it. The "performance" option might be a happy medium.

I get "NVIDIA Update Components" failing to install. But in the list, the Graphics Driver is listed as installed. Anything to worry about/something I can do?

The comparison images for modern warfare 3 would seem to indicate that adding ambient occlusion messes with the HUD as parts of it disappear in that screen shot

i cant get Ambient Occlusion to enable for skyrim through the control panel...

any body else getting this theres no apply button???

GraveYard not sure what you mean mate but it worked just by going into the 3d settings for the game in Nvidia control panel and enabling the Ambient Occlusion for that game profile and hitting apply at bottom. Try hiiting restore defaults at top right of that page first and see if that helps. If it locks up or anything uninstall your drivers and reinstall and do the clean install settings in the custom options when you install the drivers.

Also there is this guys.
