Nvidia 3D vision

So i just got my glasses and the first game i ran naturally was Avatar which looks incredible and works perfectly in 3D. Unfortunately in any other game ive tried 3D doesn't start and i cant figure out how to get it to. (Bad company 2, Prototype, Just cause 2) and i cant find settings for refresh rates in either 3. Ive gone through the booklets and the only useful thing i could find was ctrl+alt+ins which doesnt work in any of them (except avatar)

Have you got the most recent Nvidia drivers installed and gone into Nvidia control panel to set up 3D in games?
