As a question. If I buy a monitor with glasses included this is only to handle 3D movies right? I still need the nvidia kit to get it rendering 3D in realtime?

Basically buying with glasses just means I get a spare pair? Are most/all (not shutter) glasses compatible with nvision or do I need their own special ones for 3D in games?

depends on what monitor. But pretty suer even the non-nvidia ones support 3d games through the use of 3rd party software like tridef. the ones that come bundled with nvidia glasses work on everything out of the box. SInce you've got a GTX 480 you may as well get a monitor with Nvidia glasses instead of em samsungs or whatever. I don't know if it's possible to use samsung glasses with nvidia. There may be some hacks out htere. I've also heard of cheap third-party glasses that work with nvidia 3D which some ppl on nvidia forums had tried as an extra pair.
