Just a quick question - is this still a thing?

Reason I am asking is that I am having a clear out and have come across an unopened Nvidia 3d Vision 2 Wireless Glasses Kit that I bought for gaming a while ago and clearly never used. Is there a market for these do you think if I was to chuck it on flea bay or the like?

418 drivers were the last one supporting 3d Vision, Nvidia dropped further support for it.
Also the 3d player is only available to download until 31st December.

When it was announced there was a huge chaos at Nvidia forums with a lot of swearing, was fun to watch.
Now your option is to sell them, someone might have a 3D TV compatible with NVision and use them :)
Was a great kit tbh. I loved it when was playing CIV5 (yes that game supported it and was amazing), Bad Company 2 (even the desert maps pop out). No need for huge heavy helmets and easily to wear over glasses.

Shame NV screwed it up. FYI PG27VQ is the best monitor to use :)
If you plan to sell the kit, let me know. :)

Total war Medieval 2 was soooo much fun with 3d vision, the little guys fighting right in front of you. Also the Witcher was pretty good as well but gave me eye strain. Shame it did't catch on.

Yes really sad that 3D Vision didn't get mass adoption. I used my glasses all the time for sim racing, the downsides with VR headsets is you can't see your sim racing kit (LCDs on steering wheels etc), but that wasn't too much of a problem with 3D Vision glasses. I also played Borderlands the pre-sequel which was a real blast in 3D.

For older games/sims that won't get support for VR or don't work very well in vorpX, 3D glasses do add that extra dimension of size and scale that you don't get from just looking at a monitor. I've got nvidia 3Dglasses that work on my current screen and an older set from Edimensional that only work well with CRTs and older GPUs like 7800GTX due to the drivers.
