Nvidia 400 series overclocking, powerplay?

As I understand it, overclocking an ATI GPU affects the cards downclocking ability when at idle.

Do Nvidia have a powerplay equivalent? Does that stop working similarly to ATI's when you overclcok the GPU?

Nope, my GTX 470's are OC'd to 750mhz and still underclock to 51mhz when idle

480 overclocked drops down to 51Mhz core/135 mem.

This is one thing I dislike about my 5850. It never used to be like that with the older drivers so I can't understand why they changed it. I just keep it at stock now as it manages fine.

It works fine for me on my 5850. Overclocked to 1Ghz/1250 with Afterburner and drops to 157/300 at idle. Did'nt work right for a few driver releases but is working fine with the 10.10 hotfix drivers.
