NVIDIA 4000 Series

Nvidia still proving they have zero respect for their customers again..now with 40 series Laptop gpus...
As we all know, they're using FG now to differentiate the gens instead of generally improving specs. Shameful ****.

Am expecting the same crap from AMD when they release the 7800XT alongside FSR 3.0 (the proper one with the AI bits) as the leaked specs make it look quite weak in comparison to the 6800XT.

Expensive AF I know, but at least the 4090 got a proper jump in general performance.

To be fair no company has respect for customers, AMD, Intel, Nvidia, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, LG, MSI, Samsung, Apple etc.... They're all the same, They see people as a payday, Nothing more.

Should be Nvidia's earnings call tomorrow. Hopefully we'll have a better idea of just how well Ada is actually selling.

But somehow Nvidia's products are ridiculously priced (they are), but AMD's are priced alright

Not sure I'd say 'alright'. They've positioned themselves to be a marginally better value proposition, but those prices are still ridiculous.

Both companies prices are shameful and AMD is now normalizing NVidias pricing.
Unfortunately you're wrong a tad becasue the biggest fault lies in us the consumers. I never got suckered in to buy Titans back in the day for 1k, 2080ti for 1200, 3090 for 1.5k or even worse 2k for 3090ti. This FOMO stupid trend is stupid on so many levels that it boggles my mind how most of public is so gullible. Anyway, if the recession does come, no one will buy even 300$ 4050's(4060 'cough'). My 2 cents on this matter.

Us PC enthusiasts are the absolute minority when it comes to buying expensive parts, The majority buy the cheapest of the cheap.

The biggest spenders are the universities, Research centres, Design studios, Data scientists, Developers etc etc... who don't bat an eye when spending 6+ grand on 1 GPU.

Yup, there's almost an argument to be made that we actually get flagships pretty 'cheap' in comparison to the top Quadro cards and that Nvidia could easy dump the consumer market and totally focus all of their wafer allocation on the professional/data centre market!!

Indeed, RTX 6000's, Which is basically what the 4090Ti/titan is, Sell out pretty quickly. A friend of a family member who does work with AI, Machine learning etc... was trying to get one from the day they launched and only just managed to get one a few days ago as they sell out very quickly.

Shall I post this in the 10Gb RAM thread??

We have just recieved the news that Nvidia is going to release three different versions of its hotly-anticipated RTX 4070 graphics card, which vary by the GPU video memory. It looks like we’ll be getting 10GB, 12GB, and 16GB models of the card.

Oh FFS! If people can't see through this blatant obsolescence planning then I give up

So, if the RTX 4070 mobile has been released, does this make a near future launch of the desktop card any more likely?

Maybe still a bit too soon to tell and we'll have to wait until late March for some actual news...

The business is as cyclical as it has ever been, arguably more so.

The cablemods right angle seems about £55 when I've looked...

It's still massively overpriced when you consider you can get a full 600w psu from a reputable brand (bequiet) for less than that and this is literally just an adapter....feels a bit like they're being greedy on the pricing if I'm being honest.

I wonder how lian li is coming with their adapter.... there's also a mod diy right angle extension cable (the socket is right angled), shame they don't do a dedicated cable like it.

what are you doing with a 600w psu if you have a 4090? and shocker the cost of a niche item from a name brand is more than you want to pay

What good is a 600w PSU for a 4090? Weird comparison. You could also get 6.5Kg of Haribo for £55.

Standard Shipping incl. Customs & Duty (~15-30 days): 18,00€ to the uk so no they dont only offere expedited
Must be just Northern Ireland then getting hit with the expedited ……. It wouldn’t let me select the option, told me only expedited and no standard.

Option is listed but can’t be used once you progress. That was what sealed its fate as a no go.

It was context to the pricing, a psu is power related like the adapter but is far more complicated to make, yet somehow it can come in cheaper....and while it is a niche product (to a point) it's not that niche from a manufacturing stand point, it's a board, 2 sockets and a shell over the top....
If you think the price is fine then that's on you, but personally I think it's overpriced for what it is... but then I suppose they're just taking a leaf out of nvidia and amd with their pricing at the moment.
