Will only get worse next quarter :D

Hope it goes down a lot more. These prices are stupid. 4080 should have been £699. £799 at a push.

It would also help Nvidia if they went back to producing good cards.

What is being produced now is way too big to fit in a lot of PC cases, even worse if you look at AIB 4090s.

I am actually considering waiting for the Ada Titan, it may be a 4 slot card but at least it will be short enough to fit in my PC cases.

The way things are going now, it would be easier for consumers if Nvidia produced a stand alone card with its own power supply that just sat on the desktop next to the PC.

Nothing else usually goes in the other slots and SLI is now dead so may as well make use of that empty space, I quite like these large cards especially for the cooling they give.

I would honestly love it if they were to make GPUs completely external without any downsides, would certainly make plugging them in far easier, no issues with case size or cooling and can be used on laptops and desktops.

Watching 4070ti prices like a hawk and they are creeping up, unbelievable, they are selling aswell as some partners models go out of stock now and then.
Mostly fomo people then, i've been talking to a friend in Switzerland and i've convinced him the 4070ti is not worth it at this price range. If it drops £200 then yeah probably worth a grab but until then sit tight!

Not surprised by those gaming results. nVidia are in a position to manipulate the market a little and people for the most part are okay with that. However, what we've seen in the last year or so is them completely taking the ****.

Also Nvidia:

"Lets stop making drops and lower prices slightly!" Coming soon...
Nope. They are taking the: "Let's throttle supply to artificially inflate prices and force people to buy cards they don't want by not supplying the ones they do" approach.

They're gonna be pretty screwed regardless, can't cancel wafers so they will have to make them no matter what and artificially creating demand won't happen. If people won't buy now what makes them think people will buy when they limit stock lol. People who have 3000 series from pandemic period are just glad to have a gpu let alone going out now to buy another. Ontop of all that, recession inbound, ngreedia is really shooting themselves in the foot here.

I don't have a problem with them using up the spare slots.

I do have a problem with the AIB partner cards being so long that it is difficult to fit them in the average case.

The FE 4090 has a length of 304mm which is fair enough, AMD have had cards that long for many years like the HD 5970.

The AIB cards where they are so much longer is a problem for PC cases that were never designed for it.

SFF community has been weeping for awhile due to this :(:o

Not sticking up for them but it helps if people have decent sized cases, The Corsair 5000D is fairly cheap when compared to a 4090 and it can fit any 4090 with a lot of room to spare.

Bitfenix Shinobi XL here. It has yet to break a sweat at card length. I'd need to check width with new connectors bend radii but I would hope that wouldn't be an issue either tbh
