NVIDIA 4000 Series

They have delivered on some cheap RTX4070TI deals in the past.
They failed me on a 3090 at the time and messed me around for almost 2 weeks so they are now on my avoid list, good to hear some people are getting them, but they normally reply they are out of stock and will refund and mess you around for the refund so just a heads up.. they are not so true to their word.

Still waiting for the common sense adjustment for the 4080 to kick in. They still have room for the 4080Ti to slot between them in theory but good to see any movement lower, shame its taken a chunk of the product cycle to move this far..

Common sense and this generation appear opposed. But yes, a 4080Ti could "help" matters.

It seemed the large inventory of ampere stock was the initial 'reason' why it could not drop prices and the slide showing them coexisting confirmed that. However the ampere cards should be much cheaper or on some sku's dried up, so this gives room for the Ada range to adjust down. How it should work not how it will work by the way. :)

Yep. The top end last gen cards have gone and we're still waiting.

The 6950XT's are now selling for what a regular 3080 was, so roughly a halved slash to their lineup. Most sites still have the 3080 at that price. The 6900XT's seem to have almost dried up so the inventory is disappearing for one vendor, not sure its going to be enough though to trigger more aggressive pricing unfortunately for now.

Sorry I was referring more to Nvidia. But yes. Some 6950s and 6800s left.

Yeah I think the 3090's have stopped being made so time ago, I cant see them on any of the popular competitors or ocuk. Will be interesting to see if any Ada prices move once that stock of last gen has the line drawn in the sand.

Looks like Nvidia have dropped all of the prices of the FE cards by a little bit.

RTX 4060 Ti £389 > £379
RTX 4070 £589 > £569
RTX 4080 £1179 > £1139
RTX 4090 £1579 > £1519

Possibly because of recent strengthening of the pound against the dollar.

Wake me up when the 4080 gets down to £699.00

Seriously...oh, wait, I am being serious. It's just too late now. I have spent the money I intended to use to buy a GPU this year. It would have to be something very special to get my attention now.

If it dropped to under £800 I would consider it if it happens this year as it would mean I would be able to sell what I have and upgrade for around £200 or so. But if it is next year it would be too close to next gen cards and I might as well not bother with the hassle.

Even £800 feels too low for greeVidia, I doubt it'll drop that much.
