My 2080 is a zotac and the fans are noisy once the card gets hot which it 100% of the time when gaming, its putting me off getting zotac 4090 if i do decide to get one.
Are they physically smaller fans on the 2080?

Nah, they can just refund it after.Nvidia decided not to ship new cards so they at least get some sales from tech reviewers.

Yeah looks like 2080 is 90mm and 4090 is 117mm im playing prey atm and the gpu temps at 70 and fans are at 60% and they're pretty loud, im sitting 3 meters away from the pc and can hear them over the game. Are they physically smaller fans on the 2080?

I haven't seen a single review or even seen any shops selling it yet. I'm waiting for overclockers to stock one!4060 ti 16gb seems to be the best seller so far seeing as how reviewers have to buy it from shop too giving nvidia the sales edge over the 8gb varient they handed out to reviewers for free.
More money for lower performance. Big hehs
How on earth is it slower?!I haven't seen a single review or even seen any shops selling it yet. I'm waiting for overclockers to stock one!
EDIT- It's all up now, turns out it's 1% slower than the 8Gb
RTX 4060 Ti 16GB Marginally Slower than 8GB Model: MSI Testing
MSI Insider Weekly tested an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB graphics card as part of a Live Benchmarking event, where it is shown to be in fact slower than the RTX 4060 Ti 8 GB. This begins to explain why NVIDIA or its board partners weren't too keen on sampling the RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB for...www.techpowerup.com
I know my english is poor ,but I can't believe that you misunderstood so many things.. I really dont remember bitching here about gpu pricing (lime few of guys in here) ,I only wrote that is no f way,I will be buying 1200e gpu .. And where I wrote I couldn't afford 6800?? It was great great card but It crashed in RdR2 so I sold it . Considering all of that I consider to try my luck with 4070ti.. That's why I posted all of that here ...I never ever heard of mining - can you explain what it is please? Is it a recent thing? It's something to do with Doge, right?
You are the one going on about pricing and power consumption....and buy nothing but 600+ Euro cards, all of which have high TDPs and consume a lot of power:
1.)RX6800 ~ 250W
2.)RX7900XT ~300W
3.)RTX3080 ~320W
4.)RTX3080TI~350W
The RTX4070TI has an official TDP of 285W.
Techpowerup isolate the card power consumption at the power connectors, not at the wall.
RTX3080TI>RTX3080>RX7900XT>RTX4070TI>RX6800 power consumption. The consumed power is mostly given off as heat. Temperatures are a more an effect of thermal density(and cooling solution efficiency) not actual heat production. Why a Ryzen 7 7800X3D can run hotter than a Core i9 13900K,but the latter will make your room hotter.
I am surprised you couldn't see that on the chart. If an RX6800 is too much for you(and also the RTX3080TI),then the RX7900XT wouldn't solve the problem. Neither will an RTX4070TI,so instead of looking at the charts and reviews you are cycling through cards.
I guess I'm just looking at the wrong charts then.Nvidia's share price up on the kind words from Lisa.
Extra ram needs extra power, that extra 2 or 3 watts that was going to core is now going to vram and has slight drop of clocks to core im guessingHow on earth is it slower?!
I swear those two seem to be having chats and collaborating
My understanding is AMD will be putting a lot of resources into AI. Big players want to work with them as they don't want to be at the mercy of Jensen alone as we all know what he does.
What happened then?2008 is knocking again
