NVIDIA 4000 Series

They all come with 12VHPWR at the moment, 12V-2x6 is superseding it but isn't out yet.

I suspect 12VHPWR will be fine if you don't care to wait for it, but don't bend the cable too much (especially near the connector to GPU) and make sure it's seated in the card properly.

Going in a Phtaneks P600S so plenty of space to get a nice gradual curve on the cable!

My Lian Li Dynamic was going straight into the glass panel lol!

It's just arrived and taken it out of the box to have a look, no need for the gym for me tonight, this thing is absolutely ridiculous :cry::cry:

Will be getting a Phanteks NV7 next month and a vertical mount so should sort it! :)

I was surprised at how well they click in place. I suppose it might be one of the new ones, but it is very slick.

They have not sold well considering no scalpers, miners and even a dollar conversion rate drop. You could even say that having the rest of the line-up way overpriced to trick the consumer into thinking its the 'best' value still has not made as much of an impact. So yes I agree its another planet if anyone thinks these cards are selling well, certainly not absolutely killing it! In fact it looks like only an owner of said card would be lauding that strapline. In fact everywhere they are in stock even the founders...
They no doubt had decent opening sales for the first couple of months but I can’t imagine they are selling that well now since if you had the money for one in the first place then why wait nearly a year to buy it.

Part of that is they released first. Once the fomo waned, there has always been plenty much like in standard market conditions (without mining and scalping taking part). Pretty sure the 4080 would be selling better if it wasn't 43% more expensive than ampere. It literally does make that cohort squeeze up as its not much difference. The rest of the sku's are poor so make it look like the only generational improvement, which to be honest is a joke.

No idea why but yeah Vulkun usually runs better. I remember playing doom eternal and Vulkun was a good 20% or 30% faster on Nvidia than DX

Here is some interesting new info

Digital foundry found that dx11 in baldurs gate 3 is only faster when you are GPU limited

If you are cpu limited, like trying to play 1080p with a 4090, then Vulkun is significantly faster

I would steer clear of the 4080/4090 due to the power connector. Would stress me out in knowing it could melt anytime.:(

4090, for a high end flagship card, has sold extremely well. The steam hardware survey shows it's popularity after less than a year since launch.

Here's a post from Gibbo (OCUK purchasing manager)

4090 sells in great volumes, end of the day the customer buying a halo card is less concerned about cost, its all about performance or having the best, so 4090 sells incredibly well for us and has done since launch, were also the ONLY UK store with them in stock from £1499. :)

Since the start of the month AMD have had some very strong deals, 7900 XT and XTX are both consistent strong sellers for us, but since the deals cards like the 6950 XT, 6800 XT, 6700 XT and 6600 are absolutely flying now in large volumes, the prices we have hit have certainly got the consumer spending again at OcUK on AMD and thus AMD sales numbers are very strong here at present.

I'll not reply to you further, as it's clear that you're trolling if you continue to deny what's proven to be true.

So apparently this was seen inside the test server for Ubisofts Rainbow Six Siege on the publicly viewable update tab, May not be cancelled after all.
