NVIDIA 4000 Series

Got a couple of Nvidia 4000 cards now, 4070 and 4070 Ti. My experience of them is that they both run cool, quiet and are really good performers. Pretty impressed tbh, great time for gaming as well, so many good PC games out right now. 2025 for the 5XXX series seems about right. I expect will move up to an RTX 5080 and a 15th Gen CPU or AMD equivalent CPU, new gen being that far out gives me time to-save. Let's be honest none of this stuff is cheap..

Aside from the FE cards the ProArt is the only style which doesn't make my eyes bleed out of the 4000 series cards aesthetically

but I wouldn't touch Asus with a bargepole after my experiences with them.

With the new 80 class pricing and performance strategy Nvidia seems to be employing it makes more sense to just buy the halo 90 card every 4 years rather than the 80 every gen else you end up spending more for less performance.

4090 FE has been removed from the Nvidia site completely. Wonder what's going on. Luckily got mine the few hours this week is was available.

Everything is being de-listed except one card (not sure which).

I'd hazard a guess that Nvidia are doing a tiny refresh of the 4090FE to replace the power connector with the newer one.

Excellent. My 3080 Ti price will skyrocket like my 3080 did. Happy to accept £1620 for it also

Can then buy a "premium" AMD card. Ah sod that, might even go Intel :cry:

It's been using the new connector the majority of the year IIRC. Perhaps a large price increase? Its making the partner cards look really bad value at the minute.

Isn't the 4080 Super meant to use AD102 ? Could be why 4090FE's are pulled from the site for the time being while supply of the AD102 for the 4080 Super builds up.

They are shipping all the cards to China before they get banned next week which also explains the recent price rise
