How about 3 grand?Just took a look at my old invoice and my 3090 strix was 1710 on release from overclockers. Think the cheapest was the msi ventus at 1550. So 1500 would not be that bad.

Serious open question. Why do they have so many? I get a water blocked version, an OC version and a standard version. But why have like 4 different fan configurations?Well gigabyte currently have 10 models of the 3090 on their page as of right now, let alone any that have been discontinued.

lmao, so Nvidia is launching a "12gb vram is not enough" edition of the 4080 and also a real 4080
If true I may buy the 12GB edition just for the lols. I think I will get more fun out of that than the extra 4GB that will come in handy in a few games I may want to play over the life cycle of the card
FE for only 12GB and leave 16GB for free market just like what they did with 12GB 3080lmao, so Nvidia is launching a "12gb vram is not enough" edition of the 4080 and also a real 4080

I'd be more concerned with a 192 bit bus rather than the 12gb VRAM.
12GB 192-bit with lower TBP sounds more like 4080LE, they used to do LE series for lower ends and for OEMs though. They have different PCB design as well so maybe they let that crap only for OEMs
As long as it performs I'm not bothered.. I'll definitely be keeping my eye on the 4080 though. My 3080 is a great card but at 4k maxed settings and raytracing it does struggle in some games and I don't like to use DLSS as I prefer full native...
