It'll be interesting to see what, if any, performance difference this has, but it does annoy me that they've changed a product and will be keeping the name the same. And the price.

Regarding the change to GDDR6, imo this card should have always had standard GDDR6 but with 16gb and a 256bit bus.

im looking to upgrade my 2080 super graphics card, would the electric bill be higher if say i went for a 4080 ?
Off the top of my head, I would say not by much if at all. Would depend on how many hours a month you game really.
I would recommend waiting and getting a 5070/80 though. Not long now..

Aren't the expectations for a Jan reveal or something?
Probably not, going by previous generations, as they will just be EoL and replaced by thr 50 series.
The upcoming AMD 8800GT/GTX if priced as rumoured may cause a price drop though.

4090 best value!!!
Depends how you define "value" I guess.
Looking at those SW Outlaws benches, the 4090 is 36% faster than a 4080 SUPER yet costs 60% more (FE pricing) so technically the 4080 SUPER is better value.
Overall the 4080 SUPER offers better bang-for-buck pretty much across the board and I think it gets an unfairly bad rap in reviews. Of course if you want the absolute fastest then go 4090 but the 4080S is technically better "value"

Oh yes, timing is another 'qualifier' as the 4090's value relative to the 4080 SUPER is definitely worse than to the 4080
