Shrinkflation already hit when Nvidia decided to rename the 4060 to 4070.Shrinkflation is hitting Nvidia's RTX 4070 graphics card
Shrinkflation is coming to graphics cards as Nvidia updates its supply chains.www.pcworld.com
It'll be interesting to see what, if any, performance difference this has, but it does annoy me that they've changed a product and will be keeping the name the same. And the price.
Same old tricks.
im looking to upgrade my 2080 super graphics card, would the electric bill be higher if say i went for a 4080 ?
Probably not, going by previous generations, as they will just be EoL and replaced by thr 50 series.Would the 5 series cards release cause a drop in price for the 4070TI Super? I'm looking to buy one soon.
4090 best value!!!
4090 best value!!!
You could have bought a 4090 16 months before the 4080S launched though.Depends how you define "value" I guess.
Looking at those SW Outlaws benches, the 4090 is 36% faster than a 4080 SUPER yet costs 60% more (FE pricing) so technically the 4080 SUPER is better value.
Overall the 4080 SUPER offers better bang-for-buck pretty much across the board and I think it gets an unfairly bad rap in reviews. Of course if you want the absolute fastest then go 4090 but the 4080S is technically better "value"
