NVIDIA 4000 Series

I think I will throw my guesses into the ring -
£1899 for 4090FE - Board partners £2k+
£1399 for Full fat 4080
£999 for gimped 4080

Bit higher than most would probably say but I think they will try and do that.
I actually think prices will be more reasonable than people think, nvidia will definetly need to have one of the cards Priced well to get the hype up as most people don't spend 1k+ on a GPU so that market segment would be relatively small.

That's a good point. If these cards launch to non existent hype it will have massive knock on affect on sales. You cannot generate that hype after a flopped release. If priced poorly Nvidia might have double the trouble with unused 3000 and 4000 cards they are struggling to sell.

Interesting to see that people think Nvidia will price 3080 faux edition like an actual 3080.

Is no-one considering the possibility that they might announce a delay, but give a presentation on what's coming just to build people up even more?
I told her for a full week of how good it was going to be on the weekend, until StuddyMcStud came in and left with her, nothing I could do, I hyped my game too much bro, I just aint got the muscle behind it like that chaddymcchad.

Wondering if I want to wait around for this with unknown confirmed prices (and release date), or try and snag a 3070/3080/6800 at current prices now. Even happy to splurge on a Noctua 3070/3080 once they become available again (not much stocks left). But if there's a nice confirmation of when and price soon (4070), I'll be happy to wait a little longer then. Hopefully good news soon...

They could certainly do a paper launch but they can't hang around forever as RDNA 3 is slated for a 2022 release, sometime in the next three and a bit months, so they'll probably want to make hay while the sun shines as there's a possibility AMD could force them into lowering prices, all be it a slim possibility as they're uncannily close in the price / performance, almost like they're acting in unison. (Plus rumours suggest they've be manufacturing cards for the last two or more months so they won't want to be holding onto 100's of thousands of cars in warehouses as that's going to be costing them money).

The only reason the ampere was $399, $499 and $699 at launch (3060ti, 3070, 3080) was so cheap was because they knew RDNA2 going to actually be competitive. Remember the 3070 was being sold as 2080 Ti equivalent which was a $999 card.

This time around, I suspect they know AMD won't be coming out with aggressive prices. AMD showed last generation they were willing to price high with initially pitching at $529 and $649.

Therefore, Nvidia will set high prices, expect AMD to undercut slightly. Nvidia might lose a bit of extra share this way. but they make way more money (and so do AMD). This would also be highly illegal if deliberately organised, but in a duopoly it can happen just through making sensible judgements.

Lisa Su and Jensen Huang are relatives, I always found that odd but I don't assume malpractice.
