NVIDIA 4000 Series

everything looks good, i dont think amd will have anything to the tune of 76 billion transistors - and nvidia has been kind enough to not raise prices, any point in waiting for the amd reveal?
edit: ah sorry its +100 bucks for the 4090

The 4080 prices make no sense at all. With our week ass pound that means £949 for the 12GB one. No thank Jensen. You can keep it.
Yeah I agree, it was going well till they announced prices, remember a 12gb 4080 is really a 4070 so is a 90+% increase while the true 3080 successor the 4080 16gb is a 70% price increase over a 3080.

Right, these prices are nuts *but* if his performance figures are remotely correct, you’d have to be mental to buy a 30 series. Unless they drop the 3090 prices to around $500 then the price/performance curve is just.. wrong!
You have to be mental to buy a 4080 or 4090 at that price. You are being pounded in the ass with a baseball bat then told to pay for it afterwards

So in Jensons mind 4GB of GDDR6 is worth $300.

$900 to $1200 for the 4080, this is insane.

4070 no less than $700
4060 no less than $500

Its much more than just 4gb of ram. The 16gn 4080 has 2000 mroe cuda cores, runs faster, has faster memory and will be over 30% faster than then cut down 4080. Its easier if you think of th 4080 12gb as a 4070 card.
