NVIDIA 4000 Series

I used to like DF, then I 3000 series released and all respect I had for them was lost.

DF stands for Daft (insert swear word) they are literally the worst of the worst for hardware reviews, I have no idea why they even bother to try anymore. It's like taking advice from Boris and saying it was all true, you just wouldn't.

Wasn’t that just if it the card is paired with an ATX 3.0 PSU given the data channels that are integrated into the 16pin cables?

Hope I’m wrong because the power spikes were out of control on the 30 series
I think Nvidia was trying to say this was so you wouldn't need a fancy PSU;

"NVIDIA claims that it has re-architected its VRM to offer superior transient voltage management."

Aren't the 4090 supposed to suffer from transient spikes of around 650w? If that's the case it only leaves 200w for the rest of your system. Or was that just scaremongering?

I think it's even more than that. However, most PSU's can handle brief spikes over their rated power.

The 1200w PSU recommendation floating around is probably for the 600w cards.

Excellent analysis of nvidia’s pricing strategy and historic performance gains. I haven’t seen other channels use chip size as the metric by which to quantify performance/price/value as well as show the horsepower nvidia are deliberately leaving on the table.

His inspection of the performance slides is illuminating in demonstrating the “4080” to potentially be weaker than a 3090ti. Objective video and deserves a lot of views imo.

Jay loves Zen 4 but this was fun....

His 4000 release video ended with the below image.. Guessing he's finally woken up again to Nvidia as he was very vocal when he started his channel about them until they started sending him free cards to review then he became a shill for them, seems he's now upset EVGA are out and well I'm guessing they were his sponsors on behalf of Nvidia later. Funny how they/youtubers flip flop... Soon MSI will be his sponsors I bet you like hardware unboxed are and their shilling for MSI.

It was the 30 series that made me loose all respect for them and this preview video of 3080.

He was Nvidia's puppet and Nvidia used their respected channel as a marketing tool and a way to lie to future customers. Also after other channels spoke up about that video he later in the video below the full review for the 3080 tried to explain we should all be "sceptical"... instead of him saying we were sorry for misleading you all but we the viewers should be "sceptical".. Honestly minute he said that I lost all respect for him and the channel.

2 x 2080 was the lie btw. The lie Nvidia tried to push on us all on day of the release and used DF to show this fake 2 x 2080 with settings that were VRAM limiting the 2080.

6 minutes 40 sec point.

And other day the 40 series preview was basically the same as the 3080 preview video and trying to mislead us all again on behalf of Nvidia's sponsorship money and free hardware. Video below.

Also this video earlier in the day said a lot to me too, if you watch how Richard reacts and his face when Alex talks about pricing and naming from there on, he clearly is not comfortable with what Alex is saying as that will harm his relationship with Nvidia and his sponsors.. and before that nervously laughed at the comment Alex said about is Jensen smoking crack..Video below will start at that.

Not that long ago Jay went through a phase of not wanting to do it anymore, that he felt like the content he was putting out wasn't good enough for his audience, i put that down to insecurity on his part.

I'm reevaluating that assumption these days.
