They were not that competitive, RT was pretty weak. Maybe they will do better this time(I hope)
The majority disagree with you, as Nvidia was able to maintain a 80% market share, source in https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/t...-2022-despite-gaming-revenue-losses.18958357/
Also refrain from personal insults, too many bad things happening in the world to start insulting people based on their opinions on computer equipment.
AMD released good cards last time that were competitive and generally cheaper, only an NV simp would pretend otherwise.

Market share does not support your argument and does not disprove his. Market share in this instance is indicative of manufacturing capacity. The majority disagree with you, as Nvidia was able to maintain a 80% market share, source in https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/t...-2022-despite-gaming-revenue-losses.18958357/

4090 looks like a true gem for high refresh rate gaming at 3440x1440 without DLSS - something 3090 cannot do. Cant wait.
I don't understand how you've come to that conclusion when there isn't much evidence of its rasterisation performance?
3090 will sell for 700 quid and I would never pay over msrp, so it will cost me roughly 1000 to upgrade. Not that much over 2 years. People spend more per year on the morning coffee. Its almost a troll like statement I would say, whilst it may be good for no DLSS needed, its hardly a gem at near £2k.
Oh there is plenty you can conclude from published block diagram(nothing changed in raster) and how the ga102 scaled with shader count/core clock. It will be 50% faster than 3090 in worst case scenarios(when it will be crippled by memory bandwidth) up to 75% in certain scenarioa. You can save this post and quote me once the reviews will be out.I don't understand how you've come to that conclusion when there isn't much evidence of its rasterisation performance?

So along as its nvidia setting the price your happy to pay it?3090 will sell for 700 quid and I would never pay over msrp, so it will cost me roughly 1000 to upgrade. Not that much over 2 years. People spend more per year on the morning coffee.

is this a proper 3-slot?.. looks like the backplate has some bracket clearance but the cooler though seems to be extending outside the bracket, marginally though
am I allowed to think that $1599 is a fair price or it has now become obligatory to join "I hate Nvidia" herd?So along as its nvidia setting the price your happy to pay it?

no these look like the real thing .. the last bracket (closest to the backplate) doesnt look like a full slot if you have a close look, its truncated by a fair bit, so perhaps its a true 3-slot cardThis explains the price - there were obviously billions spent on R&D for the move from a 9 blade fan to a 7.
Seriously though, are these mock-ups? The angles of the fan blades are different.
All subjective to what you think is a fair price and are willing to spend really.am I allowed to think that $1599 is a fair price or it has now become obligatory to join "I hate Nvidia" herd?
