$1,600 in the us, £1,699 here... I know we almost reached parity in the dollar to the pound but its the first time I've seen the UK cost greater in number than the us one for a card.

we've gone past parity now the £ is only worth around $1.08 because once 20% VAT is added we are more expensive. Parity is only possible if £1 = $1.2 dollars

US taxes don't include state taxes until checkout. You have to convert it to GBP (£1 to $1.11 atm) then add 20% VAT, as we advertise everything with taxes include (our taxes don't vary by state).

So $1600 --> £1443 + 20% VAT = £1731

Nvidia RRP in UK is £1699.

Are people getting that excited over a 40% jump in performance? This is no differrent than the RTX3090 over the RTX2080TI and so on.

Really? I've watched a few video reviews and they've all said this is the biggest generational jump in years. It appears to be a much higher than 40% jump at 4k. Anyone buying this card for 1440p (ultrawide fair enough) or 1080p is a bit warped.

On selected benchmarks. 43% over an RTX3090TI. RTX3090 is 45% over a RTX2080TI. Even if you look at the RTX3080 is not even twice the performance but at over twice the price. It just shows the Apple-like hold Nvidia has over gamers minds.

Goodness grief no wonder Nvidia can charge more and more,when the expectations get lower and lower.
Only watched HUnboxed so far but 60% at 4K on average. Improvements in certain games are huge.
