I suppose you could say many are just Sheep, following what the crowds say and want to stay "cool". Witnessed this first hand today on PCMR (says it all really).

They have the gaming performance 64% higher than the 3090, at the same power consumption, but have the efficiency 97% higher, those numbers don't add up.

If a GPU is 65% faster at the same power consumption, then its 65% more efficient, not 97%.

Did they just copy Nvidia's review guide without confirming it? Or even thinking about it for 2 seconds?
