NVIDIA 4000 Series

When cards sell out, I will make the call based on sales amount if we pull pre-order or not. If sales remain strong on pre-order then we will pull it if competitors do. We will be having to make a lot of manual judgement calls today to prevent any crazy pre-order and long wait situations, but whilst at the same time not just passing pre-orders to competitors.

Shall see how things go throughout the day.

This launch will hopefully be different, pandemic is over, mining is diminished so I would hope AIB's will be able to support demand and fulfill orders in a timely manner and not have customers waiting over a year for a graphics card pre-order placed on day one or even worse never getting the order. Also these things cost near as dammit £2000 each, we are not expecting totally insane demand, but who knows.......
Is there a way to know if our order was successful and it’s gone through, ie we got it and will be getting it? Or once sold out it will be gone and purchase won’t go through and you might re add it with a pre order button?

If we go for a low number card and it’s out of stock, in guessing we go straight into a back order?

Just thinking if we want a specific AIB (ASU’s ROG Strix OC) then even with the wait, we need to order now? Or are you guys holding off back orders and waiting for new stock?

I was waiting 9 months for my asus strix oc 3090 card to come last time :(

Warehouse is prepared but from point of ordering it is normally an hour from order to shipping, maybe two hours.

I shall also be trying to push updates to website manually and will also be posting here as soon as I know a particular has sold out and when we expect more. I know we have more Suprim X due in tomorrow. :)

i dont think you would go wrong with either tbf but the 5 year warranty on the zotac is hard to beat

Always thought they were like a budget brand (yes I know how silly that sounds in this situation) but a 5yr warranty on something this expensive is good to know,

Definitely getting a whiff of market manipulation from nVidia again with those stock levels.

Weren't there rumours that the cards have been sitting around for months already?

Yep and in plentiful demand. OCUK have less than 1000, not much better than the 3 series launch although demand may well be less.

Everywhere pretty much saying they expect to sell out this afternoon and no pre orders this time.

Still not good is it, 100 units is nowt think "good availability" is stretching it. Although if the poll is right it wont be forum members buying them in theory they should get their cards, assuming the poll is truthful.

That's all part of the games Nvidia plays, have people really not learned that after the 20 series and 30 series mess ? These are planned out to make the fake msrp raise for AIBS while they drip feed FE 4090s or any card that shows signs of high demand, costs them hardly anything to store them while prices go up enough to drip feed them, look at ASUS for example they always do it too like their MSRP is not high enough for their cards.

Anyways many people excited to get a 4090 so don't want to make the mood negative, because I know what it's like to want a new toy that you really want. So good luck all wanting one and spend wisely on the one you really want as later the one you really want may end up a lot more with Nvidia's games.
