The 4080 12gb is a lemon. Without DLSS 3, Nvidia would have released it as a 3060ti or 3070 at the very best and priced it accordingly.

Well, I reserve judgment until the offical reviews are out. It might be a good overclocker for example.

Embarrassing bad, if AMD don't sell more cards then the mindshare is real. Their 4070 and 4060 are going to be majorly weak.

It all becomes clear...launch with the 4090 because every card below it is crap, appalling value and overpriced compared to the 30xx cards they're replacing.

See Raven's link. Thats pretty much as people expect the lemon 4080 gimped card to be. Dont get me wrong, it might have been a solid buy at £500-£600 but since AIB card ares all going to be £1000+ I really dont wee why people wouldnt buy a 3090ti at £899.

I for sure will get buyers remorse if I buy one of the 4090s, I simply don't need it but can get sucked into the buzz easily!

Almost feels like a victory if I can get a FE, even though I don't need it - what a time to be alive!

The TSMC node makes it look better against the rubbish previous gen samsung 8NM but when you compare its performance against a 4090 on the same node its actually between a 4060 and 4060ti as the 60 class cards are usually half the performance of the 80ti / 90 cards.

I knew it... just nvidia being nvidia... why are we all so surprised by this. RTX voice only works on RTX cores blaa blaaa, gameworks this and that only works on this not that blaa blaa... Nvidia they never change really.

Yep, the 60 and 70 are now going to be the new low-end at mid-range prices, god only knows what the bargain bin cards are going to cost.

Is the max power limit 660W for the 4090 FE? Has anyone seen tests raising the power limit to max and undetvolting / setting custom curves?

Der Bauer tested different power limits but didn't seem to tweak the VF curve for max clocks at the highest power.

Someone needs to compare the 4090, 4080 16GB and 4080 12GB performance gaps to the 3000 series. Just to outline what the 4080s REALLY are.
