NVIDIA 4000 Series

He works with me lol why would he lie and he ordered it from a workstation company we buy hardware from and where we purchased the Zotacs from and the ASUS tufs was from another well known retailer. He's sat here waiting for it to appear like the others all excited like kids .. I didn't realise he ordered one as the company purchased the other 4 cards for the staff in one order and he later ordered one he said because he decided to update his titan volta after seeing the reviews.

I saw cards massively priced different from retailer to retailer at one point and was clear what was happening they were making up their own prices.
Fair dos. I'm always sceptical of these stories myself.

Has there been any indication how many FE cards went up for sale? it must have only been in the hundreds for how quick they sold out. I've been periodically refreshing the nvidia page with hope of a second wave with no luck. I'm crossing my fingers for 2pm today maybe, 24h after the first sale...

Personally, I do not mind paying a little extra to a retailer if I know the service they provide is objectively better, maybe the staff are paid not awful wages, customer service, better atmosphere, better kept building, etc etc
But when it comes to OCUK I see no benefit from them charging above other retailers in the space, none.

Their website can't cope, as far as I know their staff aren't paid any extra, nor do their customer services do anything above other large retailers in the area.

Unless you want to buy the worlds most expensive bag of Haribo... I would avoid OCUK.

The forums are good, but I have already taken up a vow of avoiding buying from the OCUK for the past 3 years or more because they are basically scalpers in and of themselves.

What's worse is the excuses and gaslighting that then tends to follow from staff.

This is the thing. I've noticed this about OCUK in the last couple of years. It has a habit of charging what it thinks it can get away with and has been consistently more expensive than elsewhere on GPUs for a long time now.

It's a true 'head-up-ass' approach because while it may cream off a little more profit on GPUs in the short term, it ****es off customers to the point we won't be coming here in the intervening years for other stuff for our PCs. There is a huge hidden cost in customer loyalty when engaging in obvious price-gouging. And for me personally, unless there is a radical U-turn on this policy, I will never be coming back to OC. It's absolutely appalling behaviour.
I stopped buying from OCUK consistently 5 years ago, occasionally they have good deals on less sought after products and smaller items but otherwise anything with remotely reasonable demand is way overpriced.

If last time was anything to go off, it will be about 8/9 days before the next drop.

Sent my RMA Number request. Anyone know the best way to send it back? (It arrives today between 12-13)

Back to Baldur's Gate 2 I go!
You can send it back under the Consumer rights thingy for online goods, i think you'd have to pay for the postage to send it back though. RMA will give you more information once they respond to it.

It's normally the B grade items that are good as you can barter for an even better price. Think the only time i've really bought a lot from them is watercooling gear as they can get it from the parent company caseking for no extra cost.

They are even $1700 in USA ... The MSI SUPRIM X 4090..

Here is a review that even states the price... https://www.techpowerup.com/review/msi-geforce-rtx-4090-suprim-x/

Seriously we are being ripped off here in UK and don't want to hear the £ vs $ rubbish and VAT... He's just showed me the price on his account £1749.99 and free shipping.

Retailers here are just making up prices, some being honest others taking advantage. Simple as that.
