NVIDIA 4000 Series

They are even $1700 in USA ... The MSI SUPRIM X 4090..

Here is a review that even states the price... https://www.techpowerup.com/review/msi-geforce-rtx-4090-suprim-x/

Seriously we are being ripped off here in UK and don't want to hear the £ vs $ rubbish and VAT... He's just showed me the price on his account £1749.99 and free shipping.

Retailers here are just making up prices, some being honest others taking advantage. Simple as that.
They have to pay tax on top of the listed price in the USA – usually 20% (a little lower in some states). So anyone buying a $1700 card is actually paying $2040 at the checkout.

Problem being is that you won't know if you have the best card till you test it with GPU-Z

Well I'll just go with the review sites for noise, thermals etc. At least it wont have an overly plastic shroud and hold value better etc. I think the Gigabyte OC is fine at £1699 what the competition were charging, but not so much at £1900 here. Just feel like I wouldn't be able to enjoy it as much as I should spending this kind of money.

I can see that price via the Nvidia store. They seem to link through to the UK retailers too.

It's nowhere near 20% you've plucked that out of thin air. Alabama has the highest I believe at 7.5% and there are some local taxes that can bring it up to around 13-14% specifically in bama otherwise other states it tops out around 5-9%.

Not all states have State taxes, Oregon being one right of the top of my head 0% sales tax. My partner she is from USA I know how state taxes work ;), That was just an example I found quickly.

They charge what people are prepared to pay, if people didn't buy the prices would drop, but they do, so on it goes....

20%?? There is no state with a sales tax over 10% and some have no sales tax.

You're right. Serves me right for believing what someone else said instead of looking it up myself. You can't trust people! They're full of ****!
