So my Zotac amp ex has a 495W(techpowerup) board
I was hoping for 600W for the top Zotac!
I always use 4 - don't daisy chain if you can help itI’ve got a HX1000 platinum PSU, and each PCIe power cable from the PSU is split in to two 8 pin sockets at the GPU end.
Can I just use 2 of these into the 4 power connectors from the 4090 cable, or do I need to use 4 PCIe cables from the PSU?
5nm but will let you off, just Nvidia liked to call it N4 as using their libraries, it's really 5nm but you are right about the no need for 600w for these and proven in many reviews. It's a GPU on a leading edge TSMC 4nm node not a space heater, 600w on the 4090 is pointless.
there's on in stock still at other place that has water block coming soonHoping to get one today. Missed out yesterday as I was travelling.
Need to get one that has a water block available for it.
Pretty much anyone whose got money to burn will be buying right now so in 5 or 6 months once sales have dried up and the recession starts to bite I'm expecting similar price cuts like we saw with the 3090ti on the 4090 and nvidia will then probably slot in a 4090ti at its old price point or slightly above to milk the double dipper who can't sleep at night knowing their card is only second best.Other places many cards available, maybe all rich/mad enough to buy £2k cards have already got one?
I think they've raised prices since yesterday!the other place has stock now

Its also got dual bios - you will almost certainly be able to flash it with a 600w bios once they start getting listed and people try the bioses. Unlike the older zotak cards which were 2 pin you were limited, but with this 600w connectors i cant imagine it will be a problem if you really want to.
Unless they are running reference pcb's that may not be possible.I may try that
The asus strix is a 600W bios
Thanks
Yeah I was surprised it was like it was meant to beThe 4090's aren't going in seconds, the other retailer had a batch up for a good 20 mins only just went out of stock on the last card.
