NVIDIA 4000 Series

But are they willing to keep what they paid for? Currently, less than 24hrs after availability, there something like forty 4090's on the popular auction site and there seems to be people in this thread indicating them maybe returning their cards, retailers selling out is one thing, return rates is another as that's the true indication of how many people are willing to not only pay this price but to keep what they paid for.

Only 5 sold on auction house UK, 2 @ £2k , 2150, £2400 and some moneybags paid £3k for suprim X

Most AIb arent 600W. The asus strix OC is and another one I cant remember. All the others range from 475W to 550W.
what about the 4090 Zotac Amp airo extreme, is that 600 watts?

Also, i mean does it make a difference, in terms of performance?

People should be happy that their 4090 is drawing less power less heat right?

Those selling on ebay are known as scalpers. I can't speak for all private owners, though can state I'll be keeping/using my card until the next gen comes out :)

What are your plans? Genuinly curious why some are so interested in other people's purchases, motivations to buy, etc. Is your interest limited to high end GPU's, or do you do the same for high end TV's, golf clubs, washing machines etc?
Really, well i never, i didn't know they were known as scalpers. If you can't speak for all private owners then why did you do that when you said "This shows there's many people willing to pay this price, no matter how much you don't want this to be true.", that you're keeping yours is a good thing but to say many people are willing to do the same is simply not true.

I'm 'interested' in other peoples purchases because what they do directly effects everyone and by extension my 'plans' and i put plans in quotes because it's not a plan, it's something that's been forced on me. I'll be waiting until such a time as peoples demand for these products (be they high end TV's, golf clubs, washing machines) falls off and prices follow, time is on my side and I'm more than happy to wait months or even years to buy something, my need for the latests and greatest is much lower than my need for money.

Yea, if the other 35+ don't get sold i expect they'll be returned to the retailer.

Overclockers invoice, along with email. Clearly buying from ocuk just to scalp.

PCB is designed for 600W, but BIOS only let you go to 495W.

It's only a matter of card BIOS that's it.

sick brah, u going for the kill, what cpu u getting to go with that beast?

Waiting to see reviews but if I go AM5 will get probably get a 7700X and swap it for an X3D cache when available, if I stick with Intel will get whichever has the best 4K 1% lows as I already have the 4K Asus 42" OLED 138hz.

Not sure I want to be stuck on an end of life platform though, will wait for reviews.

ok i suppose the 600 watt 4090 should be good for overclocking or extreme overclocking, but i think looking at the benches all 4090 perform the same give or take, let it be 600 wat or 500 or 450 watts...
Aye mate, I think someone said the cards are more voltage locked than anything. Also, not sure if it’s you’re bag but undervolting on the cards apparently is really good.
