NVIDIA 4000 Series

Anyone else going to get a 4080 16? I think I could scramble the cash for a 4090 but I can't justify 1.6k for a GPU, it's just madness, I can't do it, the best I can do is 1.2k, seems like the 4080 16 would still be a huge upgrade from a 3080 Ti especially with DLSS 3

Couple of months - you'll have conditioned yourself to £1700..... :D

16g 4070/4080 is garbage at over £1200, pony up for the 4090 or don't bother. Jensen pulled a blinder this gen.

Get the 4090 AIB/FE at £1699 not the lame 4080 16GB it's not worth the money mate from the Nvidia slides that show performance compared to the 4080 12GB and 4090. You will regret it.
Not wrong, the 4090 represents the value per £ proposition this time round, the 4080 16gb will likely be £1300 and only 10-15% faster than a 3090ti which will likely be around 850-900 used.

This is the Asus RTX 4090 TUF OC. Can someone confirm if this is a 600W board, it says 450W and 600W Maximum.

Can we not ban this dude?

Overclockers invoice, along with email. Clearly buying from ocuk just to scalp.
Got to love they way they tried to blur their name and address. Its a digital image, so running out ink is hardly an excuse!

Help! I got my 4090 card today (I'm not really great with PC stuff) and the 4 in 1 cable that comes with it... do i need some extra cables to connect to the 4 connecters to plug into my PSU?
I've not removed my 3090 card yet but see that has either 2 or 3 cables going from the card to the PSU - can I use these?

The leaks show it more than 15% faster, well Nvidias own slides!

And with DLSS 3? If it wasn't much faster I'd get a 3090Ti and marvel that I've got a last year's flagship beast

you need 4 pcie 8 pin cables from your psu connected to that 4 into 1 adapter that came with the gpu. is your psu atleast 850W?
you'll probably have to buy a few pcie cables and plug them into your psu, ready to be plugged into the gpu adapter. watch some youtube vids on cabling psu to gpu etc.

Why is everyone so bothered about 600w? do you really want to run your card drawing that amount of power? Debauer did a video that showed the 4090 running at around 350w and only losing about 5% perfomance. So surely going from 450w to 600w power draw won't get you the fps gains to warrant the extra power.

I also wonder why Nvidia didn't leave the power draw at about 350w if going to 450w only gains around 5%? Are they worried what AMD might bring to the table?
