NVIDIA 4000 Series

The problem is we deserve this, i can't wait for the green army to get warmed up on acid pills so they can run around forums telling us how DLSS 3 is now the new "Better than native" image quality feature without any sense of their own self respect.
I'm in the "if it won't run native I'm not interested camp" YMMV or course (just to fend off the pitchforks ;) ) for everyone else there's Mastercard

Put my card in the system and belief I have coil whine on my 4090.
I am not sure if it is coil whine but when gaming, there is a little noise which seems to be coming from the GFX card.
Welcome to modern GPUs.
No matter the card.. it will almost certainly have coil whine to some degree.
High end GPUs are notorious for it as there is so much electricity surging through it.

I called it.... @TNA

Bets on how many will use their screen captures of the "fake frames" to say "DLSS 3/FG sucks and this is why" even though they have said "it is very hard to see these in normal gameplay and the gameplay itself is mostly good"

For the sort of prices they're expecting people to pay I'd expect better than mostly good and very hard to see.

Just got this e-mail from NVidia
"You’ve Been Selected For Priority Access to Purchase A GeForce RTX® 4090 Founders Edition Graphics Card"

Prob a phising or scam mail but looks legit.

Kudos to Tim for making a video about it, but how is this acceptable when its on an Nvidia GPU but the same sort of image artefact's aren't when its on an Intel GPU?

Nvidia can literally get away with just about anything.

You could say the same thing about FSR when that first came out, it was absolute broken bin bag garbage. I know they've had two iterations on DLSS, but with a new revision on a new architecture, I'm sure no doubt they will firm it up prior to the more mainstream cards releasing next year.

I think the 4090 sells itself very well regardless of dlss 3/FG, well at 4k anyway, price is still too high regardless of how good it may be though.

Like FSR and dlss, FG will only improve with time but for the kind of scenes that people are using to show "FG sucks" i.e. that f1 22, there is no way that will be fixed because of how the tech works, it relies on the frame before and after to generate the "fake" middle one so when you drastically change the scene/frame by switching camera angle, it will always come out bad like that.

It's just humbug being humbug ;)

Watch the video to see the real reason as to how the "frame" came about. I also wouldn't be comparing FG to fsr issues either as both are fundamentally different, fsr issues are present all the time where as fg issues are mostly present with the "fake" ones, which as tim said, are very hard to spot when you're above 100 fps.

So the message body now I'm at my PC, I've changed a few things, GeForce experience isn't working because I currently don't have a GPU installed and I'm using AMD's iGPU so I can't confirm.

Very interesting.
I assume you did the "Notify Me" quite early? or maybe it's just random.

But the email address is legitimate, if the <URL HERE> shows the same, I would say it is fairly legit.

Interesting course of action from nvidia.

I'll be honest I think I did the notify me thing when it came up on their page originally, that's it. Although yesterday I think I got banned from their store as I got an access denied because I had distil refreshing the page every 5 seconds, woops.

I'm going to wait until I get my card later and check through the GeForce experience to see if it's legit. Not sure what to do now as I got the AIRO turning up later... If it's legit I'm not sure what to do, I could sell it at cost to someone like I did when the 3090s first came out. Not sure which one I'd prefer the FE or the AIRO.
