NVIDIA 4000 Series

OK just to dispel any FUD out there.. these cards (at least my Gigabyte Gaming OC) voltage is NOT locked. Stock slider position the card is 1.05v, slider to max right is 1.1v.
The issue is they are performance limited by voltage which will be shown in GPU-Z even with the voltage bumped up to 1.1V .. out of interest what was your actual max power draw ? Sounds like you got a good card anyway with a 3.1Ghz boost

Ya but 1.1v is better than 1.05v :D

So far in Superposition I've seen max 560w draw with 1.1v and 133% power slider at 3090 MHz core and +1000 memory. I haven't even tweaked the memory yet.

Finally got to install my Aorus Master and jesus this thing is big. I have a HAF700 evo and whilst the case is massive it was a little tricky to install as a horizontal mount because the 4 PCIE to 16 pin PSU adaptor wires push into the glass panel of the caser. A 90 degree angle adaptor would make this so much easier and I'm honestly tempted to pay £300 on a atx 3.0 psu just to make the cables look tidier. The card itself looks amazing and the cool thing about the HAF 700 evo is that is has an adjustable mirror panel which I positioned below my GPU at an angle so I can see the fan lights. Very happy with how this looks and I will post a picture tomorrow.

Ah just installed MSI Afterburner 4.6.5 (Beta2) (Was on final series). Now voltage is unlocked and got a nice bump. Approaching 3100 MHz core at 133% power target and my cards running 60C in Superposition. This Gigabyte Gaming OC is turning out to be a pretty sweet card. And quite quiet too.

It will be interesting to see if Nvidia alter the specs of the 4080 4070 when it launches, just so as to appear not so bloody obvious about what they did!

What I'd like to see them do from a customers POV is relaunch it as a 3070 for $500, what i think they'll do is relaunch it as a 3070 ti for $700.

Nvidia has already renamed the 4080 12gb

Say hello to the RTX 4050

So the box thing is strange as it seems like the other boxes says 4080 but doesn’t specify VRAM. Not sure why they would have two different printed boxes on their stand.

But let’s assume this is true, if you thought the 3000 series line up was a mess. This will be even worst. They will have 3 products with massive price and performance gap in between each of them. I honestly now think that the 5000 series will launch next year to clean this mess up.

People getting the geforce experience links; have you ordered through nvidia before? Desperate for one and trying to work out how they are being given out or whether it is pure luck. Have updated my location and really hoping for one over the weekend!

p600S has 190mm side clearance and more than enough room at the front
Without bending the adapter at all this is how much the soft part of the cable gets pushed by the glass side

For those with the new Suprim is the new RGB logo on the heatplate meant to be brighter at the right, dimmer on the left by default? 90% sure it is and it's meant to fade across, but just wanted to be sure.

I'm in the same boat, happy to wait but be nice if I got the link through the app. They probably see me still running a 980ti and think I'm too poor :p

Bet EVGA is feeling good about their decision even more now :D

All the board partners looking at their piles of 4080 12GB cards…
