NVIDIA 4000 Series

Re-installed my entire hard drive and all drivers etc and still have this problem. Going to see it Gigabyte customer service know of a fix but apparently this is a known problem on previous gigabyte GPUs with lcd screens and it’s virtually impossible to fix without rma the card. If anyone has or is thinking of getting the 4090 master and want a custom gif don’t do it as not only will it mess up the display but mess up the stock display options you are given as well!
Ahhh mate that’s so rough, not caught up on the thread yet but hope you get it sorted

Thanks for that advice. I have mine (not a 4090) currently set to just display temperature but it's good to know NOT to display a gif.

not quite the AMD core is on a 5nm node but not the craftly named 4N node designed to fool people, the other chiplets are on 7nm I think

but the argument is they don't all need to be on a single more expensive monolithic die... smart I hope it works and AMD use that to price effectively. Two questions I don't know the answer to tbh
Indeed, if the argument is that using the more expensive node for the entire chip therefore the price is high then a modular designed chip using different nodes should equal cheaper price.

**** poor power design for the money and because of that it's got the worst transient spikes even though it doesn't have a high TDP and Palit reccomends a 1200w PSU because the transients are so bad on the card

Would anyone be able to grade the controllers..

And I am confused if the zotac airo is superior/inferior to the founders edition?

I think these are old quad series, 4 are faulty, the rest work, was wet, so cleaned and dried.

Found it in a box behind some rubbish on a industrial park, can i do anything with these or put on MM for 50 quid each.

Imagine if they were 4090s:eek:

I'd question what someone who has the money to buy a 4090 is doing sifting though rubbish on an industrial estate.

Sounds like classic Gigabyte. I tried multiple versions of their own RGB software and other brands and some work, some don't. Don't have a Gigabyte 4090, but my experience with them is very sketchy RGB that you have to fight to get to work.
Yeh my Googling is finding a lot of other people with the same issues - haven't found any other software that's working with it either :(
