Can you provide links for the above.

I find it hard to believe that most CPUs would struggle that badly to produce 120fps at 2160p.

If you are talking about above 120fps they really don't matter anyway.

Below is an old 2160p result from the Heaven 4 bench. It is a far higher score than a 4090 can manage.

It was done using an old intel 6950X @4.4 and the cards were not bottlenecked.

Heaven is completely GPU bottlenecked. The 4090 performs great when it's GPU bottlenecked too, it's actual games that are the problem, not synthetic benchmarks

so gaming on 4090 + 5800x3d keeps my Livingroom 2-3c over ambient  not had to turn on heating yet
with 13700k it would be 4c over ambient, that's gonna be a mess next summer

Just got my priority code from nvidia and decided to go for it! Had to get a new case as its going to be too much hassle fitting in my formd t1 so I've gone for an nr200 max, will the 850w psu be ok? I'm coming from a water-cooled 3080ti and I game on a 3440x1400 ultrawide as well as vr on the quest 2 so I'm hoping for a nice boost.

Because there is no shortages of 4090 FE models and guessing same for the AIBS, they are just being held hostage and drip fed.
They'll create as much hysterics as possible as to create demand for it. Once the hysterics die down they'll think of something else to create demand, begs the question what they'll do though.
