I'm curious temperature also changes conductor resistance. How does it affect GPU performance?Frequency scales with temperature, lower the temp and boost will increase and remains more stable than when on air .
they did 2 drops last night, maybe next week only ....No drop

Think you mean £1699?pricing has gone up since launch.
I feel quite lucky now I got the Zotac Trinity for £1599, it is now nearly £2k on overclockers.
Think you mean £1699?
ok good price then. I've not seen any card lower than the £1699 FE.No I bought elsewhere, as on launch day everyone was charging £1599, but overclockers were charging £1699
For example Do you get higher clocks for the same voltage if temperatures are cooler?
Yep, no drop.No drop

Well all I can say is the 4090 is an absolute beast of a card. Especially when coming from a 3070.
FPS is at least double including increasing from high setting to ultra in all games.
The reviews focussed on 3090 to 4090 raster performance and yep, I am not sure I would have seen the point of laying out £1000+ for just 60% or so.
But from a 3070, I am getting such huge jumps in FPS, that all setting on a super ultra wide g9 is easy peasy for the 4090.
by default the fan curve on most cards is set to not even turn on until like 60-65c@Bruno.88 It idled at 65C? There was something wrong with that. My 2080Ti idles at 31C, my 3090FE idles at 32C, so how hot is your room if your card idled at 65C on air?
The aircooled cards with vapour chambers don't get hot though, at 450watt they max out at around 62cFrequency scales with temperature, lower the temp and boost will increase and remains more stable than when on air .
Techpowerup has the 4090 as 52% faster than the 3090 and 41% faster than the 3090tiThought ti was more like 85% 4090 to 3090? It was 60% 4090 to 3090ti.
will get a few % extra performance when water cooling and will also be bit more efficient and use a little less power , for example my 3090 Strix would boost upto 2190Mhz ( 1080p ) when temp was in the 40 deg range , when on air no chance i would get it that high and would get to 2115/2130Mhz max.I'm curious temperature also changes conductor resistance. afaik nowhere in the UK were prices for 4090's lower than £1699 (FE price). No I bought elsewhere, as on launch day everyone was charging £1599, but overclockers were charging £1699

I’m making the same upgrade from a 3070 to a 4090. I’m on a 32:9 monitor mind you.Well all I can say is the 4090 is an absolute beast of a card. Especially when coming from a 3070.
