i think we know how this all tends to works out, instead of nvidia halving you'd have amd doubling.. so the launch window is all you have for scoring one at SEP, though there will be a slow trickle of reference cards direct from AMD or NV for the patient types

They obviously learned from the ampere launch, where they began selling the 3080 before the more expensive 3090 and it jumped off shelves.
Some people would have wanted the more power but because the “less” powerful one came out first they jumped on it.
This time flog the most expensive item because it’s the only one available and capitalise on the FOMO crowd.

There will always be variables, In manufacture and in how users make the connection to the card and the psu.
In the past with lower powers to cards this probably never came up as an issue until now with these power hungry devices.

Does someone knows whats the diference between the asus 4090 strix and 4090 tuf ? (Apart of price and rgb lights) i want to watercool with EK waterblock, so i would like to know if it worth buy the strix over tuf or is the same thing?

Get the TUF , save a bit of cash that will pay for the EK waterblock . Performance is nigh on identical between the 2 in fact i would say all of them are the same and comes down to which one you prefer the look off and how lucky you are with the silicone lottery
