NVIDIA 4000 Series

So how has a 4090 Suprim X that was sold on day one for £1749.99 to my work mate from another well known retailer turned into a worse model of the same card for £2189.99 ? Even Nvidia's site shows they were priced at some retailers for £1795.68 for the Suprim X version and still does.

I'm gonna be quick, quickly running the other way..... :(

Real difference worse model for £440 more...

AND £490.99 more than the Nvidia 4090 FE...

Sorry Gibbo it's a bad joke now, £440 more for a worse version of the card than day one for the X version... Something is very wrong here now.

I was excited to see you said they were in stock, but now I would rather go flush my head down the toilet than pay that much for a gaming card that has been neutered compared to the 3090/ti without NVLINK this time, this is a gaming card now not a pro card that can justify these insane prices, even the FE version is very over priced for what it is compared to the 3090/ti versions for pro use. Now even AMD has given us 24GB 7900XTX for $999 and it's a gaming card with some potential creator uses for people that need 24GB VRAM.

People are not stupid enough to buy at those high price as its still in stock.

People have voted with their wallets.

Well let's hope they are not as that's basically a PS5 and an extra controller over price than when they came out on release. The suprim X the better versions sold for £1749.99 at some places on release, my work mate has one and buzzes like a bee hive with the coil whine it also has for the stupid price of £1749.99.

Just a quick thing, so I was doing a bit of a clean up of the cables in my PC as they were a bit unruly following initial install of my RTX 4090. I had to unplug the adapter cable and I tell you what, it didn't come out easily at all. Again putting it back in there was a noticeable click after applying enough force to make sure it was in place correctly. It really does make me think that people were not quite attaching the adapter to the 12-pin connector with enough force which may well have caused all these issues with the poor contact and then melting etc.

Oh and I had no signs of melting or melted pins

Dude. I may have just spent £1800 on a new CPU MB and DDR5 ram. For what may have been a cmos battery failure..

Really, I was going to get a 4090 but the thought of replacing the PSU and more to the point re-cabling put me off.
Been fine m8, even had to boot my case shut due to the adaptor sticking out a bit and had no issues :D

Keep an eye out for one of those tasty FE cards imo!

Given that both the Zotac and Palit cards have been in stock at OC and other etailers for at least a week now I think we may be seeing the fomo purchases finished at least at the inflated prices being asked for. Not to say people won't buy brands like ASUS at higher prices but if 4090s are staying in stock at retailers it at least means scalpers will think twice.
