NVIDIA 4000 Series

dood it's the tiktok area you can't take anything at face value anymore, people will do anything for some attention, reddit is no exception
Seems to be, i forgot when you buy a new gpu you're also buying into a religion. Or some do at least.
only if you buy AMD it seems and you din't wanna play a game with max settings anyway, and any minor issue with the competition is a full blown product recall

also if you look at that thread you'll see I've always posted the most up to date theories surrounding the connector.....

just because I have an open mind = I'm a retard okay dood.... keep telling me I have buyers remorse like I desperately need that 2k...

#1 Who called you a retard?

#2 Have you looked at your posts. and you're calling out amd owners as being part of a religion?

Being "open minded" considering you constantly downplay the theory that some cables could be faulty and anyone that's had it happen is either faking it or didn't install it correctly?....wut?

Mate seriously just ignore him... He will even wind up a saint and that's his game, he will put his words in your mouth and then play the victim...

His victim card is :-

3C3fTrF.jpg

after yesterday with me and I was joking back and forth with him and trying to also have a sensible discussion and then he just flips.. Honestly not worth it I thought he was one of the normal regulars but realised otherwise when he decides his way or nothing. When I gave him facts he said he put me on ignore because he couldn't reply to it..

As you will see here in the now locked thread :- https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/rdna-3-rumours-q3-4-2022.18927635/page-206#post-35986575

Best to just not reply.. It's now messing up threads and making a lot of work for the mods on here is the silly bickering.

Ok back on topic...

Something I read earlier that I thought was good and some may find interesting :-

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 vs RTX 3090 Deep Learning Benchmark

In this blog post, we benchmark RTX 4090 to assess its deep learning training performance and compare its performance against RTX 3090, the flagship consumer GPU of the previous Ampere generation.

I went from 3090 ti to 4090 and it doubled my fps in benchmarks also in Control . On 3090 ti on 1440P RT HIGH,DLSS OFF i had 70-80fps.
Now i have 120-140fps with DLSS OFF on native 1440P with RT HIGH. Gpu usage is 100%.
I tried with DLSS 960P but its bootlenecking my system ,usage is 60%. So i left that off dlss.

Isn't it pretty much all arknor at this point. It's somewhat entertaining though
no its people obsessed with melting cables and dredging it up time and time again even though there's another thread for that.

About time the forum got a VIP section for confirmed 4090 owners so we don't have to listen to the trolls or constantly get baited by them

yeah, something like a thread where people post a picture to prove they have a 4090 and then they can talk about the owning a 4090.

We can call it
The Ada Lovelace RTX 4090 owners thread.

I think it has a good ring to it.

yea but it's not a place for people to discuss the 4000 series and it wouldn't stop the trolls and baiters from posting in it anyway

So I am a little confused (easily done) - I have a 3090 running with a i9 10940X cpu. I recently upgraded my monitor to a Samsung G9 Odyssey Ark (so that’s 4K running at 165Hz). I actually found myself with some time yesterday to try out a few games to see how the 3090 is going to cope with full 4K (my previous monitor is a G9 Odyssey Ultrawide) and in Plague Tale Requiem I can set everything on ultra and it’s all super smooth and no issues however it is only rendering out at 80% - again same results in the new COD. So my question is how much better would the 4090 be? Don’t get me wrong - I WANT a 4090 but if I am not fps counting and just going on the playing experience do I need one? I have also weirdly noticed the 3090 is not getting as hot when driving the new monitor over the ultrawide. Apologies if this is a bit random but I am curious to those who have gone from the 3090 to the 4090 and game in 4K if they have seen a big difference in real world gaming.

Don't get so defensive man, it's just a GPU and the adapters are currently a hot topic that interest everyone so it is natural and to be expected that there is a surge in posts about it.

Erm what.. need that goalpost gif right about now.
its a thread for people to chime in and say they own the card, the actual discussion of the 4000 series is all in here where the non owners keep coming in whining about melting and pretending it's some huge deal.

it's getting old fast

Yea and there's a whole other thread dedicated to that issue

I'm guessing everyone who owns a card barely gives it a second thought

Btw no selling outside mm. You may want to edit your post. Before the mods find it.
