NVIDIA 4000 Series

Do tell? Would I be going to prison for lying about being the original buyer? :D
I couldn't care less if you choose to try that, we all know who fulfils the orders on those cards and we all know they have the details of who they sold them to. I bought the way I did as my time is more valuable than watching Telegram now we are seeing drops at all hours.

but how will they know .. do they ask for ids or is the purchase linked to your email account?

looks like its a onboard connector issue, possibly nvidia is using a different supplier for the FE onboard connector. seems nvidia only provides the adapter while AIBs are free to source connectors however they want
Proof of purchase (we know which shops sells them), then compare name and address on it. Lots of things are based on trust in UK, but NVIDIA is not a UK company. And if you have to go through the shop in question, they know very well whom the sold it to initially.

Have you seen the 4080 specs? They'll be lucky to even sell out.
You've seen it, many people here have but a lot of common people that do not follow these forums have no clue. If media shows it up clearly, they might, but if it'll be just "Expensive, but more FPS than 3080!" - people will buy it.

People must understand the price increase though even if they don't realise the spec, also for people spending £1250+ on a GPU you'd atleast think they do a bit of research.

You'd be surprised how little research lots of people do when buying expensive stuff - usually 1 review and done, at best. Especially when they think expensive = must be good and worth it. And yes, they might get more FPS but they will not realise that they bought card that should've been much cheaper for what it offers and they're feeding the corpo-greed here instead of demanding more for their money.

Oh if anyone is thinking of visiting the Bay, make sure that "Ali G Gifts" FE rots with him. £3500 they had it on for from the launch drop, now they are down to almost £2k

The utter greed of these people. Genuinely hope they lose money or get fleeced by dodgy buyers.

I’ve been an eBay seller for nearly twenty years and they always without exception side with the buyer.

Yup, that's a card that has been sat in a box for the best part of a month now when many including on here are really wanting one. My mate is after one too and he can only fit an FE in his case or he'd already have bought one. Unlike me, he isn't locked to NVidia for productivity, rather high FPS for VR but it is a pain. I use Vray and the 4090 doubles the rendering performance over the 3090 so it's a no brainer for me. I also game, but as my display maxes out at 60fps there is very little a 3090 can't max a locked 60 at currently though UE5 will likely change that.

Just seen his page, he has three 4090s on there as well as some PS5 consoles… all crazily priced.

Really tempted to message him faking interest in order to string him along. Wonder how low he will go ;)

If caught, potentially. Fraud Act 2006 - Fraud by false representation is a crime punishable by a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and an unlimited fine.
I'd have a higher probability of going to prison for handling a salmon suspiciously than lying about being the original buyer on a warranty claim, so I think I'd take my chances.

Oh, absolutely! Not saying its likely to happen at all, you just asked the question... I just happened to be studying the fraud act for a training course as you put the question up. Just felt like going all smart arse!

Has anyone seen a good power/performance report yet? I'm trying to work out how much more efficient the 4090 is in real games, not arbitrary benchmarks. And I've not seen a good report.
